Westward Gold is drilling with three rigs in 2026 across its district-scale Toiyabe Hills project on the Cortez Trend — on ground that the Company’s technical team believes shares certain geological and structural characteristics observed at other Carlin-type gold deposits in the region. Drilling is underway. Results are forthcoming.
Compensation Disclosure: EMC has been paid $150,000 by Westward Gold Inc.
In gold exploration, geology doesn't stop at a property line.
Nevada’s Cortez and Carlin Trends have together produced tens of millions of ounces because a specific set of rocks, faults and fluids line up. Westward has assembled ground that sits directly on those same trends, next to the operators who define them.

Toiyabe Hills — Cortez Trend
A district-scale, consolidated package assembled over years of diligent land consolidation, directly adjacent to a significant land position held by Nevada Gold Mines (the Barrick / Newmont joint venture) encompassing 1,015 unpatented mining claims.
Coyote & Rossi — Carlin Trend
111 unpatented claims at the northern end of the Carlin Trend — a belt that has produced nearly 100 million ounces of gold since the 1960s. The Rossi claims border ground currently held by Nevada Gold Mines.

The 2026 catalyst engine
A full field season of results, planned for this year.
This is what a campaign is built around: a defined sequence of exploration programs, each capable of generating news. As of the company’s June 22, 2026 update, here’s what is running.
Drilling – three rigs, three target zones
Drilling Underway
The first core rig is turning at the SSD Target following BLM Work Plan Concurrence, with two reverse-circulation rigs to follow. Drilling will chase high-grade structures, including a dike that returned a single sample of 16.4 g Au/t surface sample, into favorable Wenban Formation carbonate host rocks.
Anaconda-style surface mapping
Active – Footpring Expanding
1:5,000-scale mapping across the property has already expanded the SSD alteration footprint to the north and northeast, where it remains open. This disciplined, decades-proven method is how targets get refined before a single meter is drilled.
Geochemical sampling
Data Pending
Trench rock-chips, 200-meter soil grids over newly acquired ground, and mapping samples are being collected across the property, adding to a multi-year database and sharpening drill targeting.
Geophysics – airborne mag, CSAMT & gravity
Interpretations Pending
Three surveys, interpreted by a geophysicist with 40+ years in the Carlin and Cortez districts, are refining structure and stratigraphy, including a suspected buried igneous stock and the El Segundo Target slated for Phase I drilling.
Note: Readers are cautioned that information regarding neighboring properties is provided for context only, and that mineralization on any neighboring properties is not indicative of mineralization or potential mineralization on Westward’s properties.

(1) Source: NI 43-101 Technical Report, American Consolidated Minerals Corporation, Prepared by Paul D. Noland, P. Geo., May 27, 2009 (the “2009 Technical Report”). A qualified person has not done sufficient work to classify the Historical Estimate at Toiyabe as current mineral resources and Westward is not treating the Historical Estimate on Toiyabe as a current mineral resource, as defined in National Instrument 43-101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101”). The Historical Estimate was calculated using mining industry standard practices for estimating Mineral Resource and Mineral Reserves (2005) which was prior to the implementation of the current CIM standards for mineral resource estimation (as defined by the CIM Definition Standard on Mineral Resources and Mineral Reserves dated May 10, 2014). There are a number of changes between the 2005 and 2014 definition standards, a key change being the requirement in the 2014 standards that mineral resource estimations be based on “reasonable prospects for eventual economic extraction” – which in the context of near-surface mineralization would equate to utilization of a pit shell. The key assumptions, parameters and methods used to prepare the Historical Estimate on Toiyabe are described in the 2009 Technical Report. Specifically, the Historical Estimate was prepared using a polygonal method constructed on geologic cross-sections. The cross-sections utilized for this purpose were constructed on regular 150 foot spacing. Drill assays utilized were plotted along drill traces on the cross-sections and projected to a maximum distance of 75 feet unless a geological feature was present. Mineral polygons were constructed on these-cross sections to reflect areas of gold mineralization. For purposes of construction of the mineral polygons, a minimum cut-off grade of 0.343 g Au/t was used. While Westward considers the Historical Estimate on Toiyabe disclosed in this presentation to be relevant to investors, it cautions readers that it should not be unduly relied upon in drawing inferences on the mineralization on Toiyabe, as additional work is required to upgrade or verify the Historical Estimate as a current mineral resource. This additional work includes (but may not be limited to): re-sampling and re-assaying of available core and/or pulps, verification of assay certificates and digital assay data, verification of select drill hole collars, review and verification of drill hole geologic logs versus the preserved core and RC cuttings, incorporation of AuCN assays to provide a general understanding of metallurgical characteristics, review and verification of mineralization controls and modelling techniques, and the incorporation of economic factors to verify reasonable prospects for eventual extraction.

The methodology involves normalizing the raw data, weighting each element according to relative importance in the overall assemblage, summing these factors, and plotting heat maps. Westward has used a proprietary algorithm in this case, however the general methodology is widely used in gold exploration across the globe.
